Location: Bridgwater, Somerset - Site based (Mon - Fri) Duration: Approved until 31dec26 (renewable) Status: Contract - INSIDE IR35 Morson Edge are working on behalf of a major player in the Energy Sector who have a current contract requirement for an experienced Field Engineer (Welding & NDT) to join their established site-based team in Bridgwater, Somerset. This is a (renewable) contract position - inside IR35.Overview: As a Field Engineer focused on welding and NDT activities, you will oversee critical quality assurance tasks, ensuring construction activities align with contractual and safety requirements.You will Identify and mitigate potential quality issues, supporting on-time project delivery. Principal accountabilities Submit and document non-conformance reports as needed.Review and monitor Quality Control Plans and Inspection Records.Evaluate contractor performance and adherence to standards.Contribute to health, safety, and environmental objectives across site operations.Ensure documentation and reporting align with regulatory and quality requirements. Required Skills and Qualifications Welding Inspector qualification (CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent as a minimum).Current or previous qualifications in multiple NDT methods.Experience in construction involving fabrication and installation of pressure systems and structural steel.Fully conversant with British/European standards and design codes including RCC-M and BS EN.Proven QA/QC experience and ability to document findings concisely and accurately.Strong organisational, delegation, and communication skills.JBRP1_UKTJ
