Are you a creative, driven and experienced events professional ready to help shape the cultural heartbeat of Middlesbrough? We are seeking a passionate Festival & Events Manager to lead the planning, delivery and growth of a diverse portfolio of events, festivals and community programming. It's an exciting time to be working in Middlesbrough's cultural sector with a number of major events on the horizon including Turner Prize 2026, Middlesbrough FC's 150th anniversary in 2026/27, our bid for UK City of Culture 2029 and celebrations planned for our bicentenary in 2030/31. As Festival & Events Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing Middlesbrough's reputation as a vibrant destination for culture, entertainment and community celebration. From large-scale events to community-led events, you'll have oversight at every stage and work collaboratively with partners and colleagues to ensure safe and successful delivery, and exceptional experiences for residents and visitors alike. Working within a fantastic team of passionate advocates for culture, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference - bringing people together, celebrating diversity and place, and contributing to the town's cultural and economic growth.
