What You’ll Be Responsible For :


Customer Experience

  • Champion service excellence by ensuring the right products are sourced for local industries.
  • Exceed expectations through fast, personal, and professional support.
  • Secure new business and strengthen long-term client relationships.


Financial & Commercial Performance

  • Drive sales and margin growth in line with company goals.
  • Manage cash flow, pricing, and profitability.
  • Leverage supplier partnerships to stay ahead of customer demand.


Inventory & Supply Chain

  • Oversee stock levels and reduce obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
  • Ensure optimal product availability across all branches.
  • Support purchasing teams to streamline operations.


Sales & Strategy

  • Lead sales activities across key accounts and regions.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies for growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external sales reps to deliver customer solutions.
  • Represent the business at trade shows and industry events.


Product Management

  • Communicate our fencing division’s value proposition clearly and confidently.
  • Monitor sales and margin reports and act on insights.
  • Coordinate product training, new launches, and promotional efforts with marketing.


Supplier Relationships

  • Build trusted partnerships with suppliers to stay aligned with market trends.
  • Approve new products and maintain competitive pricing strategies.


Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop both internal and external sales teams.
  • Set targets, conduct performance reviews, and implement personal development plans.
  • Ensure onboarding, training, and staffing levels meet business needs.
  • Promote cross-selling opportunities and inter-branch collaboration.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in sales, product or category management (fencing/industrial sector a bonus).
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and analytical thinking.
  • Confident communicator and relationship builder (internally and externally).
  • Experienced in stock control, supplier negotiations, and product lifecycle management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
