Job Title: Female Support Worker / Carer

Salary: £13.73 per hour (PAYE)
Shift Length: 8 hours per shift
Location: Private home setting (SP11)

Job Overview

We are currently seeking experienced, compassionate female Support Workers / Carers to provide high-quality, person-centred care for an elderly individual in their own home. This role requires patience, reliability, and a commitment to supporting dignity, independence, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide respectful personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.

* Support with daily activities, including meal preparation, feeding support, and hydration.

* Assist with mobility, including safe use of a walker and general movement around the home, where applicable.

* Observe, monitor, and report any changes in health or wellbeing promptly.

* Maintain a safe living environment, actively working to prevent falls and reduce risks.

* Encourage and promote independence, respecting personal choices and routines.

* Provide companionship and emotional support, communicating clearly and patiently at all times.

* Keep accurate basic records and follow all care plans and safeguarding procedures.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Support Worker, Carer, or Healthcare Assistant, ideally with elderly care – minimum of 6 months experience.

* Comfortable supporting mobility and individuals at risk of falls.

* Confident in medication support and personal care tasks.

* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust.

* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

* Must be female due to the personal nature of care.
