Fellowship-trained Foot & Ankle Surgeon

OneHealth is looking for a fellowship-trained Foot & Ankle Consultant to support and grow the One Health Group's Orthopaedic Team.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar role within a private or NHS setting. You should have a professional outlook, empathetic telephone manner, and understand the importance of patient confidentiality.
You should currently be in a substantive NHS post OR in a long-term locum post (more than 12 months).
If not in your current NHS post, you should have been a substantive NHS consultant for at least 3 years before leaving the NHS.
You must be on the GMC register with no hearings or restrictions.
Requisite sub-specialist qualifications (FRCS {orth}) and be on the specialist register are required.
Main duties of the job
This role involves assessing and operating on NHS patients referred to One Health via the NHS e-Referral System. Appointments will be held across various outreach clinic sites, with a specific focus on Shoulder & Elbow. Operations will take place within a range of independent sector hospitals; therefore, travel should be expected.

Job responsibilities
As a fellowship-trained Foot & Ankle Consultant, your role will involve assessing and operating on NHS patients referred via the NHS e-Referral System. All surgeons working with One Health will undergo our onboarding process and require approval from our Clinical Governance Lead. Practicing privileges must be obtained for each hospital where procedures are performed.
The work will be across Loughborough & Leicester; travel should be anticipated.

Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience with Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience working in similar roles within private or NHS settings.
- Professional outlook, empathetic telephone manner, and understanding of patient confidentiality.
