You’ll join a warm, skilled team led by owners and lead vet surgeons Dr Sarah Middleton and Dr Paul Proctor. Their nurses are trained in cat behaviour, their reception area is stress controlled and thoughtfully designed, and the clients genuinely want the best for their pets with many travelling from afar, and all of them value what they do.

This practice has a real ‘family feel’ about it where everyone pulls together when there’s work, and relaxes when it’s time.  Without the shackles of a large vet group, decisions can be made quickly, and ideas are encouraged.

They invest in the tools that matter:

• Digital and dental x-ray.
• In-house IDEXX and Woodley labs.
• Ultrasound, endoscopy, BP and multiparameter monitoring.
• Raised tables, calming scents, Feliway, and space.

Appointments are 15–30 minutes, with time between to think, call clients back, and work things up properly. This isn’t just kinder for the cats, it’s better for you too.

Their rota is designed for a work life balance, not burnout:

• Full time is 4 days.
• Part time is 2–3 days.
• No weekends. No bank holidays. No OOH’s.
• They share the occasional 10pm inpatient check, but that’s as heavy as it gets.
