Swift Education is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming, community-focused faith-based primary school in Colliers Wood to recruit a passionate and dedicated Family Support Worker for a mid-May to early June start.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to supporting children and families, helping to create a safe, stable, and positive environment where pupils can thrive both at home and in school.

The Role

You will work closely with pupils, families, and staff to provide practical and emotional support, helping to remove barriers to learning and improve overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Build strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and carers

Provide practical support around routines, behaviour, and home life

Carry out regular check-ins and home visits where required

Support pupils’ attendance, engagement, and emotional wellbeing

Work alongside school staff and external agencies to coordinate support

Identify safeguarding concerns and follow appropriate procedures

Maintain clear and accurate records of support provided

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Experience working with children, families, or in a support role

A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection

A calm, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
