***School/educational environment experience is essential**Facilities SupervisorLocation: Slough Hours: 40 hours per week- rotating shifts of 7-3.30pmand 9-5.30pm - Full-time, 52 weeks Are you experienced in working within a school environment and ready to take the lead in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and high-performing site? We are looking for a proactive and skilled Facilities Supervisor to play a vital role in supporting a vibrant primary school. Every day, your work will directly support the success and wellbeing of hundreds of children.As Facilities Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operation, safety, and maintenance of the school's buildings and grounds across two campuses. You'll ensure the site remains secure, compliant, and ready to support outstanding education.Your responsibilities will include:Building Compliance & MaintenanceEnsuring the school meets all statutory health & safety and fire safety requirementsCoordinating inspections, servicing, and maintenance schedulesManaging repairs and maintaining accurate compliance recordsKeeping the site clean, safe, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitorsSecurity ManagementManaging door access systems, alarms, and CCTVResponding to incidents and maintaining safeguarding-aligned security protocolsSite & IT OperationsManaging the Site and IT fault reporting systemSupervising the Site Assistant and IT TechnicianLiaising with contractors and suppliers when requiredHealth & Safety LeadershipSupporting the Facilities Manager with risk assessments, compliance, and safety proceduresPromoting a strong culture of safety across both campusesTechnology & InfrastructureSupporting network cabling, Wi-Fi infrastructure, AV systems, and IT projectsManaging photocopier contracts and IT assetsActing as a key responder during IT or power outagesSchool OperationsSupporting school events and ensuring facilities are preparedMaintaining school vehicles including minibusesCollaborating with staff to ensure the site supports educational prioritiesThe person:We welcome applications from candidates with experience working in a school or educationalKnowledge of building compliance and health & safety regulationsExperience managing security systems and safeguarding-sensitive environmentsStrong problem-solving and organisational skillsConfidence supervising staff and coordinating contractorsGood communication skills and the ability to work across a large teamA full driving licence is essentialOur client offers:Free onsite parking26 days annual leave + bank holidaysPensionAccess to online GP servicesOpportunities to develop your skills in site leadership, health & safety, and IT infrastructureThe chance to work within a supportive school leadership teamOngoing professional development and trainingA role where your expertise truly makes a difference to children's learning environmentSafeguardingSafeguarding is at the heart of everything we do.
