Facilities Maintenance & Compliance Engineer\n£30,000 - £32,000 per annum + Company vehicle provided\nCoventry-based (Mainly covering the Midlands region)\nPermanent, Full-time\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nRETAIND are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled, proactive, detail-oriented, and methodical individual to join a busy Facilities Management provider based in Coventry. This role involves travelling across the Midlands to visit clients on a regular basis - weekly or monthly, to ensure their workplaces, facilities, and building systems are safe, efficient, and fully compliant with legal standards.\n\nYou’ll play a key part in maintaining trusted relationships with customers while ensuring high standards of compliance and maintenance are met across a range of sites.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\n\n * Carrying out regular inspections and compliance audits of building systems (including water monitoring, electrical, and fire safety).\n\n * Carrying out a variety of basic “first-fix” & remedial repairs, such as simple plumbing, carpentry, painting, lighting replacements, etc.\n\n * Attending occasional reactive call-outs to resolve customer issues promptly.\n\n * Meeting customers on-site to build long-term, professional relationships.\n\n * Maintaining accurate compliance records using a mobile/tablet-based CRM system.\n\n * Recording key details, including serial/model numbers and photographs of issues requiring remedial action.\n\n * Reporting visit details back to the office for the preparation of customer reports and quotations.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\n * Previous experience in a facilities management or property compliance role is preferred (transferable skills will be considered).\n\n * Experience of carrying out a wide array of property repairs and basic maintenance tasks yourself.\n\n * Excellent customer service and communication abilities.\n\n * A methodical approach, strong time management and organisational skills.\n\n * Ability to work independently, managing your own diary and workload.\n\n * A full, clean UK driving licence (minor points accepted).\n\n * Willingness to occasionally work outside normal hours, including some weekends\n\nTraining:\n\nFull training will be provided on compliance requirements, and the use of our mobile app for digital reporting.
