Job Description:
This role will have the accountability for the delivery of a number of Infrastructure projects within Manufacturing Engineering (ME). The work will include all aspects of Infrastructure delivery, including, Civils, Structural steelwork, mechanical / electrical service installations and general building fitout within the site, using the support of our inhouse and External Vendors.
There will be a need to interface with a number of Internal and External Stakeholders, including all aspects of Health and Safety, Project Managers, Contractors and all relevant departments to deliver Projects in line with all KPI’s.
This role is a key position in the delivery of GME’s core works, and covers the full spectrum of delivery, from Feasibility, Procurement, Manufacture, Delivery, installation, commissioning and handover.
Key Performance indicators are:
Complete all Infrastructure works in a safe manner with Zero incidents or accidents.
Complete all Infrastructure works in line with the relevant Health and Safety controls i.e., compliance with CDM.
Deliver all Infrastructure works on time as defined in the project timing plans.
Deliver all Infrastructure works within financial budgets.
Deliver all Infrastructure works to the defined quality standards as specified.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Accountable for the delivery of Infrastructure Projects within GME Manufacturing plants, using both internal and external contractor base.
Drive a “Zero Harm” approach to safety in our designs and contractor performance.
This will include civil works, structural steel works, mechanical & electrical works and general facility fit outs.
Support the wider business planning, in scheme reviews, budget cost creation and justifications.
Support the GME Infrastructure Manager in the development of Key Stakeholder relationships ensuring that GME is the primary source of all Infrastructure works. This will include Stakeholders outside of GME.
Support the GME Infrastructure Manager with the development and maintenance of all Infrastructure standards within ME, ensuring they are aligned to support the business operating model.
Deliver world class facilities and infrastructure, safely, on budget, on time and to agreed quality standards.

Core Health and Safety knowledge (contractor management) such as NEBOSH Certificate (Construction), IOSH, SMSTS or similar. (Please include experience-based detail in CV).
Undertake any other work as directed by the GME Infrastructure Manager in connection with their job as may be requested.
Key Interactions:
The ME Facilities and Proposals team, to identify project scope and needs.
The ME Design teams, to support the development of proposals and solution to meet the customer requirements.
The GME Mechanical and Electrical Installation Teams, to co-ordinate project delivery resources across the projects.
The GME Business Manager to co-ordinate quotation, costing and timing, procurement information.
The GME Site Safety team to support and verify Infrastructure methods and plans.
External suppliers to co-ordinate labour, plant, materials and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Relevant degree qualified or equivalent experience (but not essential) in Infrastructure, Plant, Electrical or Mechanical disciplines / industry.
We are seeking experienced multiskilled and rounded delivery Engineers, but appreciate you/the successful candidate will have a bias regarding historic discipline, please identify this within your CV submission, i.e. trade associations, prof bodies, competency certs etc.
Previous experience and strong background of Infrastructure works from conception through to delivery and completion.
Experience in contractor management and site installations, to deliver benchmark Site Safety performance.
Clear understanding of site safety, and Safety legislation (CDM 2015 Reg etc).
Excellent knowledge of Infrastructure methods, materials and skills requirements.
Excellent organisational and project management skills.
Proven experience in leading and managing teams to deliver against tight timescales and budgets.
Knowledge and experience of supporting the development and costing of proposals, right through to delivery and final project completion.
