Alfred Recruitment are currently working with an award winning façade engineering consultancy, who with over more than 20 years in the industry have built themselves an exceptional reputation for quality and expertise. They are currently in a great stage of growth having massively expanded their portfolio, are so are now looking for a new Façade Engineer to join their team and bring their expertise to these exciting, high profile projects.


This role will suit someone with around 2-4 years of experience within façade engineering, as the role will come with a great deal of support from experienced mentors and the opportunity to be involved with some amazing, yet complex work. Also this role will come with some fantastic career development opportunities thanks to the growth this company is going through.



What you’ll be doing

  • Completing engineering analysis and structural engineering calculations across a wide range of façade system and elements
  • Working with external structural engineering consultants to ensure accuracy
  • Creating programs and spreadsheets for automated calculation.
  • Carrying through calculations using TEDDS for various systems
  • Carrying out site visits where necessary
  • Keeping track of the latest facade structural and product information with regards to products and systems used within the façade industry.
  • Assisting the directors, associates and senior staff with other tasks as required.



What you’ll need for this role?

  • At least 3 years’ experience working with a Façade Engineering role
  • Must have a bachelor degree qualified and ideally working towards Chartered membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers (although not essential)
  • Good practical and technical structural engineering knowledge and experience.
  • The candidate should also have a good knowledge of facade materials, products, manufacturing methods and construction methods.
