Location: Sittingbourne * Hours: Mon-Fri, 47.5 hrs * Salary: Competitive

A busy industrial workshop is looking for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to support plant, machinery, and site equipment. This role involves fabrication, welding repairs, and both planned and reactive maintenance. Mainly workshop-based with some yard and occasional off‑site work.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate and repair bins, containers, and industrial equipment
Carry out PPM and breakdown repairs on heavy machinery
Perform MIG and MMA welding on a variety of metals
Interpret and produce technical drawings
Work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment
Support and mentor a workshop apprentice

What You'll Need

Strong experience as a Fabricator/Welder in industrial or heavy engineering
Skills in MIG, MMA, and stainless steel welding
Ability to read/produce technical drawings
Practical, safety-focused approach and ability to work independently

Desirable

NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Fabrication & Welding
Experience in waste, recycling, or heavy industrial sectors
Full UK driving licence
