Location: Kidderminster Salary: ~£28,000 - £35,000 Hours: 39 hours Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

\n The Company \n
Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing business specialising in the production of bespoke tanks, conveyors and fabricated components. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join their skilled workshop team.
\n \n The Role \n
As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings and producing high-quality fabricated assemblies, including tanks, frames and conveyor units. This is a hands-on role requiring strong MIG welding experience, excellent attention to detail, and confidence using a wide range of workshop machinery and hand tools.

You will work as part of a supportive team in a busy fabrication environment, ensuring all work meets required quality, accuracy and safety standards.
\n \n Key Responsibilities \n
\n \n Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
\n
\n
\n Fabricate tanks, conveyors and various metal components to precise specifications
\n
\n
\n Perform MIG welding on mild steel (typically 3mm - 10mm thickness)
\n
\n
\n Carry out metal finishing including grinding, linishing and deburring
\n
\n
\n Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively
\n
\n
\n Operate workshop machinery including:
\n
\n \n Guillotine
\n
\n
\n Folders
\n
\n
\n Rollers
\n
\n
\n Drills
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of accuracy and workmanship
\n
\n
\n Maintain a clean and safe working environment
\n
\n
\n Follow company procedures and health & safety guidelines at all times
\n
\n
\n \n Skills & Experience Required \n
Essential:
\n
\n \n Proven MIG welding experience (3mm-10mm mild steel)
\n
\n
\n Ability to confidently read and work from technical/engineering drawings
\n
\n
\n Strong fabrication skills, including cutting, bending, tacking and assembling
\n
\n
\n Experience using hand tools (grinders, linishers, drills, etc.)
\n
\n
\n Competent operating fabrication machinery (guillotines, folders, rollers)
\n
\n
\n Excellent attention to detail and quality of finish
\n
\n
\n Ability to work independently and as part of a team
\n
\n
\n
Desirable:
\n
\n \n Experience fabricating conveyors or tanks
\n
\n
\n Additional welding skills (TIG, stick, etc.)
\n
\n
\n Experience in a manufacturing or production workshop environment
\n
\n
