Job Description: Fabrication Workshop Supervisor\n\nReporting to: Contracts Manager\n\nDepartment: Work shop\n\nLocation: 22 Norfolk Street, Walkden, Manchester\n\nSalary: £21hr (Self Employed)\n\nHours of Work: 07.00 to 16.00 – Mon – Thu , Fri 07.00 to 13.00\n\nA Fabricator/Welder of metals and plastic. Responsible for assembling products using a range of techniques and materials in line with all internal production requirements and quality standards.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities:\n\n· Ensure all Workshop activities are completed effectively\n\n· Adhere to company procedures and Health & safety polices at all times.\n\n· Receive manufacturing packages from the Contracts Manager/Estimator\n\n· Produce cutting lists and work material ordering quantities.\n\n· Ability to organise work load priorities and delegate to the team.\n\n· Fabricate metals using both MIG and TIG welding techniques.\n\n· Draw and plan basic designs.\n\n· Ensure all work is carried out to exact specifications and to a high standard of quality.\n\n· Safely set up all work equipment and assemblies to company procedures.\n\n· Practical understanding and supervision of good fabrication techniques.\n\n· Operating other machinery and hand tools as and when required.\n\n· Ensure workshop maintenance and housekeeping are maintained to good standard at all times\n\n· Supervision of workshop team and operational conditions at all times.\n\n· Ensuring all health and safety controls and appropriate PPE are utilised at all times.\n\n· Maintain accurate records of production and follow quality assurance ISO standards\n\n· Effectively communicate any issues, which may potentially result in delay to production or compromise safety.\n\n· Ensuring confidentiality and company integrity are protected\n\n· .\n\nSkills, Experience & Attributes:\n\n· 3 years Supervisory experience working in an engineering workshop environment.\n\n· Experience working to tight deadlines and problem solving as required.\n\n· Qualifications using mechanical equipment such as MIG and TIG Welding etc.\n\n· Experience managing H&S in a workshop environment.\n\n· Excellent interpersonal skills\n\n· Ability to form professional relationships with stakeholders
