Working on behalf of our client based in Wrexham, we are hiring for a Workshop Manager to start on a permanent basis.Key DutiesAllocate and distribute work to tradesmen in line with fabrication drawings issued by Project Engineers and PlannersCarry out visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process work, and finished products in line with BS EN 1090-2Manage day-to-day operations within the fabrication workshop, including supervision of staff and involvement in recruitmentOversee and control engineering processes to meet cost, programme, quality, and manufacturability targetsApprove or reject materials and completed work based on specifications, ensuring any non-conformances are rectified and documentedWhat we are looking forProven experience in a workshop supervisory or foreman role within a fabrication or steelwork environmentKnowledge of BS EN 1090-2 and quality inspection processesStrong understanding of fabrication drawings and the ability to translate them into shop floor tasksExperience managing teams, including performance management and mentoringWhat our client can offer in returnCirca £50,000 per year depending on experienceImmediate start with a well-established and growing businessWorking hours- Monday-Thursday 7.30-4.30.
