Fabric TechnicianLocation: WatfordRate: £18.19 per hour PAYE / £23.69 per hour UmbrellaContract Type: Temporary / OngoingHays are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabric Technician to work within a high-profile site environment. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong fabric and carpentry background, delivering both reactive and planned maintenance works while providing excellent customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to reactive maintenance works within agreed timescalesComplete PPMs, reactive jobs and minor project works efficientlyLiaise with client representatives regarding maintenance and repair tasksCarry out repairs to floor and wall coveringsComplete ceiling tile repairs and replacementsUndertake general building and installation works as requiredCarry out lighting maintenance including lamp changesComplete filter changes to AHUs and FCUsUndertake basic plumbing tasksUtilise a PDA to complete works, communications and updatesEnsure all works are carried out safely and in line with Health & Safety at Work RegulationsUndertake any reasonable additional tasks as directed by the Technical Services ManagerEssential Skills & ExperiencePrevious Fabric / Carpentry experienceExperience working in a high-profile or customer-facing environmentCity & Guilds or NVQ (or equivalent) in CarpentryFull UK driving licencePC literateStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, instructions and processesAbility to organise workload, manage tasks and determine material requirementsWhat You'll GetCompetitive hourly rate: £18.19 PAYE / £23.69 UmbrellaOpportunity to work within a professional, high-profile environmentOngoing contract with potential for extensionIf you're an experienced Fabric Technician looking for your next opportunity, apply now or contact Hays for more information.Hays EA is a trading division of Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited and acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
