Job Description

We are seeking an experienced externals Site Manager to join a team that specialises in renovation and restoration works on Grade II listed buildings.\n\nThis is a key position requiring knowledge of heritage construction, conservation practices, and the ability to manage complex external works while preserving historic integrity.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Manage and oversee all external renovation works on Grade II listed properties\n\n * \n\n Ensure compliance with conservation regulations, listed building consent, and planning requirements\n\n * \n\n Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and specialist trades\n\n * \n\n Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards\n\n * \n\n Liaise with conservation officers, architects, and stakeholders\n\n * \n\n Ensure all works are carried out in line with heritage best practices\n\n * \n\n Conduct regular site inspections and ensure health & safety compliance\n\n * \n\n Resolve on-site challenges efficiently while maintaining project objectives\n\nRequirements\n\n * \n\n Proven experience managing external works on Grade II listed or heritage buildings\n\n * \n\n CSCS, First aid and SMSTS\n\n * \n\n Strong understanding of traditional building methods and materials\n\n * \n\n Excellent project management and leadership skills\n\n * \n\n Ability to interpret technical drawings and conservation specifications\n\n * \n\n Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities\n\n * \n\n Knowledge of UK planning and conservation regulations\n\nDuration: Permanent\n\nIf this sounds like something of interest please send a CV to Lucy using the contact information provided
