*Job Overview*
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic *Stylist/Salon Manager* to lead and oversee daily operations within our busy salon environment. The successful candidate will be spending time both behind the salon chair and on the salon floor. Working on their own column part-time and able to cover when team members are on holiday. They will be responsible for managing, mentoring and training staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining the overall organisation of the salon. *Responsibilities*
* Provide high quality hair services - including washing, cutting, colouring and styling.
* Conduct thorough consultations.
* Recommend and sell hair care products to help clients maintain their look.
* Maintain client records regarding colour formulas, treatments and preferences.
* Lead and supervise salon staff, including stylists, receptionists, and other team members, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
* Organise staff schedules and manage time effectively to optimise operational efficiency.
* Oversee retail sales and merchandising activities to maximise revenue opportunities.
* Implement sales strategies and promotional campaigns to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
* Maintain excellent communication with clients, addressing enquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
* Ensure the salon adheres to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times.
* Manage administrative tasks such as stock control, appointment scheduling, and reporting.
* Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership, motivation, mentoring and training initiatives.
* Handle client feedback or complaints promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
*Qualifications*
* Level 2 in Hairdressing and Barbering.
* Level 3 in Hairdressing and Barbering or equivalent experience behind the chair.
* Proven management experience within a salon environment, with strong supervising skills.
* Demonstrable leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff development.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
* Strong communication skills.
* Administrative experience with proficiency in scheduling software or point-of-sale systems.
* Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Candidates should possess organisational prowess, leadership qualities, and excellent interpersonal skills to thrive in this role.
