Executive Assistant to COO - 12 month FTC

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Executive Assistant to the COO to operate as a true right-hand partner on a 12-month maternity cover basis. This is a senior, hands-on role requiring excellent judgement, strong business acumen, and the ability to operate with discretion at a C‑suite level.


The successful candidate will support the COO with complex diary management, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination, while also providing broader administrative support to the office of the COO. This role plays a key part in enabling the efficiency, focus, and effectiveness of one of SThree’s most senior leaders.

What you’ll be doing

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for the COO, internally and externally
  • Managing complex diaries, inboxes, meetings, and international travel
  • Preparing high-quality correspondence, reports, presentations, and meeting packs
  • Ensuring the COO is fully briefed pre‑meeting and supported with follow‑up actions
  • Managing stakeholder relationships across the business globally
  • Coordinating ad‑hoc projects, events, and initiatives
  • Handling sensitive information with absolute discretion and professionalism
  • Providing occasional cover for other senior Executive Assistants


What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience as a C‑suite Executive Assistant / Personal Assistant, ideally within a technology or professional services environment
  • Advanced proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong experience of minute taking and presentation preparation
  • Demonstrated experience managing events and complex logistics
  • Commercially minded with a strong sense of priority and outcome focus
  • Proactive, calm under pressure, and consistently one step ahead
  • Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Trusted to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
