Legal Secretary\n\nFTC (12 months) | Hybrid – 50% WFH / 50% Office Based\n\nBirmingham\n\nReal Estate Department\n\nAre you an experienced Legal Secretary looking for your next challenge? Our client, a prestigious top 50 UK law firm, is seeking a proactive and highly organised Legal Secretary to join their Real Estate team.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Legal Secretary, you will play a key role in supporting a team of lawyers within the firm’s busy Real Estate department. Your responsibilities will include managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings and travel arrangements, assisting with business development activities, and providing exceptional client service.
You will also support financial administration, including billing and reporting, while working closely with internal support teams such as Document Production, Administrative Assistants, and Business Services.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide high-level administrative and executive support, ensuring smooth daily operations across the Real Estate team.\n\nManage busy diaries, meetings, travel arrangements, and client appointments.\n\nAssist with business development initiatives, including events, marketing materials, and legal directory submissions.\n\nOversee financial processes such as billing, proformas, and reporting.\n\nEnsure compliance procedures are followed, including conflict checks and matter risk assessments.\n\nBuild and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally.\n\nCollaborate with internal departments to deliver excellent client service.\n\nIdeal Candidate\n\nOur client is looking for an experienced, professional, and adaptable individual with previous experience in a professional services or legal environment. You will be confident managing multiple priorities, thrive in a fast-paced setting, and have a proactive approach to organisation and communication.\n\nSkills and Attributes\n\nPrevious experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a private practice setting.\n\nExcellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage competing deadlines.\n\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal.\n\nExceptional attention to detail and accuracy.\n\nAbility to manage tasks independently while collaborating effectively within a wider team.\n\nExperience in financial administration, including billing and reporting, is advantageous.\n\nConfident using digital tools and internal systems to support client and matter management.\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nThe role offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
