About CyPro
We are an innovative cyber security start-up united in a shared mission: to redefine cyber security for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
Our Founders – Jonny & Rob - spent most of their early careers delivering cyber security for large enterprises and central government, and they saw a clear need for a new approach to cybersecurity, especially as small to medium-sized businesses became increasingly targeted by cyber criminals. Indeed, by 2022, SMBs were the focus of 75% of cyber attacks, largely due to them being easy targets.
Together, CyPro is already setting new standards, defining innovative solutions and equipping its clients with the cyber security they need to prevent attacks, secure bigger clients, and scale to new heights of success.
We are growing quickly as a business and the next few years promise more of the same. Joining CyPro will allow you to become an integral part of our mission and join a team industry experts embarking on this exciting journey.
There are some elements of your role which are expected from all members of staff, irrespective of their grade or seniority.
- Problem-Solving: ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide range of security issues effectively, both tactically and strategically.
- Adaptability: ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Driven, Self-Starters: we are not a large FTSE organisation with a procedure for everything. You will need to be willing to put in the extra effort and operate in an environment often with little guardrails.
The Role
You will work directly with the founders (Jonny & Rob) and the wider team to support the day-to-day running of the business. This is a high-trust, high-ownership role where you will be expected not just to execute tasks, but to help improve how we operate. Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
⚙️ Founder & Team Support
- Managing busy calendars across two founders, ensuring time is prioritised effectively
- Supporting inbox management, including triaging and organising shared mailboxes
- Booking travel, meetings and logistics for founders and team members
- Taking ownership of scheduling across internal and external meetings
Operations & Coordination
- Organising team socials, events and off-sites
- Supporting the coordination of internal activities and keeping things running smoothly day-to-day
- Acting as a central point of organisation across the team
Improve How We Operate
- Identifying inefficiencies in how we currently work and suggesting better ways of doing things
- Identifying opportunities to automate how we work
- Helping to introduce light processes, structure and organisation where needed
- Supporting ad-hoc operational tasks that help the business run more effectively
Soft Skills
There are a handful of ‘soft skills’ which are critical for success in this role:
- High Agency: you take initiative, don’t wait to be told what to do and naturally look for ways to improve things
- Detail-Oriented: you care about getting the small things right, especially when managing calendars, logistics and communications
- Organised & Reliable: you bring structure and consistency, even in a fast-moving environment
- No Ego: you take ownership of outcomes and are comfortable working closely with founders
Interview Process
We operate differently. No long drawn out recruitment processes - we generally can get candidates through our process (from START to FINISH) within 10 days . Successful candidates can expect the following 3 stage process for this role:
- Video Introduction - you will be invited to send a short 2-3 minute introduction video.
- Telephone Interview - a 20 minute initial chat with a Founder.
- Assessment Centre - a morning in our Canary Wharf office where we do some fun exercises together and hold the final interview with a practice partner.
