A leading law firm is seeking a proactive and highly capable Executive Assistant to support a small group of partners within a fast‑paced and demanding Banking & Finance environment. This is a high‑profile role requiring exceptional organisation, sound judgement and the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders while delivering a first‑class client service.

You will play a pivotal role in supporting partners to operate at their best, taking ownership of complex administrative, financial and operational responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a professional, client‑focused ambassador for partners, both internally and externally.
  • \n\t
  • Take full ownership of partner diaries, proactively managing meetings, appointments and logistics to ensure schedules run smoothly.
  • \n\t
  • Anticipate and resolve diary conflicts, prioritising effectively in a fast‑moving environment.
  • \n\t
  • Manage partner inboxes where agreed, drafting responses, escalating urgent matters and coordinating with fee earners and secretarial colleagues.
  • \n\t
  • Coordinate complex billing and compliance processes, demonstrating strong commercial and financial awareness.
  • \n\t
  • Organise WIP reviews, billing meetings and liaise with finance teams to ensure deadlines are met.
  • \n\t
  • Take responsibility for matter management, including chasing unpaid bills where required.
  • \n\t
  • Build trusted, effective working relationships with partners, arranging regular catch‑ups to align on priorities and workloads.
  • \n\t
  • Introduce best practice processes to improve efficiency and partner effectiveness.
  • \n\t
  • Attend meetings, take minutes and follow up actions to completion.
  • \n\t
  • Work closely with Marketing and Business Development to coordinate events, seminars and conferences.
  • \n\t
  • Arrange domestic and international travel, managing all details end‑to‑end and accommodating individual preferences.
  • \n\t
  • Develop a strong understanding of the partners’ practice areas, clients and strategic goals.

  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
