We are delighted to be partnering with a leading event catering business to recruit an experienced and passionate Event Sous Chef. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented chef looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic, fast-growing hospitality environment.
Our client delivers high-quality food for a wide range of events and is known for excellence, creativity, and strong team culture. They are now seeking a motivated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and play a key role in the day-to-day kitchen operations and event delivery.
The Role
As Event Sous Chef, you will:
Support the Head Chef in menu planning and development, keeping offerings fresh, seasonal, and on-trend
Lead, supervise, and motivate the kitchen team to maintain high standards at all times
Oversee food production for events, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
Manage stock control, ordering, and storage to minimise waste and control costs
Train and develop junior team members, leading by example in the kitchen
Work closely with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless event service
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:
Proven supervisory experience in a professional kitchen
Strong event catering or high-volume hospitality background
Excellent leadership and team management skills
High-level food preparation, cooking, and presentation ability
Solid knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance standards
Experience thriving in fast-paced, event-led environments
