Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) Project Manager to lead a high-profile project for our client in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing ETRM system implementations or upgrades, with a particular focus on power trading. Role requires hands-on leadership and expertise in both project management and power trading operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead and manage end-to-end ETRM system implementation or enhancement projects. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements. Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery within the defined scope and budget.
Service Delivery:
Ensure that all services related to the ETRM project are delivered in alignment with agreed SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Maintain strong operational oversight to ensure smooth daily service delivery for the client. Identify and implement improvements in service delivery processes to enhance quality and efficiency. Act as a point of escalation for service-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution. Conduct regular service review meetings with stakeholders to report on performance and gather feedback.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Power Trading Expertise:
Leverage deep knowledge of power trading processes to align the ETRM solution with business needs. Ensure the solution supports critical functionalities such as trading, risk management, position management, and regulatory compliance.
Technical and Functional Coordination:
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration of the ETRM system with other business systems. Lead workshops and gather business requirements from power trading teams. Drive user acceptance testing (UAT) and facilitate smooth system go-live.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks, issues, and dependencies and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
Experience in project management within the energy sector. Demonstrated experience managing ETRM projects, particularly in power trading. Familiarity with leading ETRM platforms such as Allegro, OpenLink, or Endur is a plus.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of energy trading, risk management, and associated workflows. Familiarity with European energy markets and regulations.
Skills:
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira). Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
