My client, a respected and growing organisation within the social housing sector, is seeking an experienced and motivated Estimator to join their team in Wigan.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality refurbishment and planned maintenance projects across the North West.

You will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive, and compliant estimates for social housing projects. Working closely with pre-construction, commercial, and operational teams, you will help secure new work and support the continued growth of the business.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for planned maintenance, refurbishment, and social housing works
• Review and analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Identify risks, opportunities, and value-engineering options
• Prepare tender submissions and support bid presentations
• Work collaboratively with internal teams across the project lifecycle
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pricing trends, materials, and labour markets

• Previous experience as an Estimator within social housing, construction, or property services
• Strong understanding of planned maintenance, R&M, and refurbishment works
• Excellent numeracy, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tenders
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office
• A proactive and organised approach
