Estimator – Groundworks & Infrastructure (Housing) - Preston Your new company : A well-established and respected civil engineering contractor operating across the North West, specialising in groundworks and infrastructure for major residential developers. With a strong pipeline of projects and a growing Estimating Department, they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team. Your new role: As an Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders for groundwork packages up to £20m in value. You will work closely with the Managing Estimator and Contracts Managers to ensure accurate and timely submissions. Key responsibilities include: Reviewing tender documentation and raising RFIs. Conducting site visits and risk assessments. Interpreting ground conditions from Site Investigation reports. Performing detailed take-offs and measurements using 2D/3D software and spreadsheets. S104 adoptable sewers & drainage S38 adoptable carriageways S278 highway works Earthworks modelling Substructures and floor slabs External works and private drainage Obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations.
