Our client, a civil engineering contractor, seeks to enhance its team by appointing a skilled Estimator for a permanent position based in West Lothian.   The ideal candidate will work within the commercial team, showcasing commercial acumen and a track record in diverse civil engineering and groundwork contracts. Possessing robust technical knowledge, you should demonstrate proficiency in managing multiple projects concurrently.
As an Estimator your responsibilities will include:
Tender Identification & Management:
Identify suitable tenders for pricing. Download and analyse tender documents. Provide accurate, detailed quotations and prepare tender submissions.
Estimating & Documentation:
Collate necessary information and complete Bills of Quantities. Log, track, and monitor tender submissions and successful bids.
Post-Award Handover:
Facilitate a seamless handover of contracts to our delivery teams, ensuring all relevant details are communicated. Support administrative and filing tasks for the Estimating Team.
To thrive in this role, you should bring prior experience as an estimator in a civils environment and possess:
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in the construction industry, ideally in Estimating, Procurement, Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying roles.
