An established and rapidly expanding main contractor is seeking to appoint an experienced Construction Estimator to join their team based in Cardiff.

The Role
As Construction Estimator, you will be a key member of the pre-construction team, responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates from tender stage through to contract award.
Key responsibilities include:

Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
*
Taking off quantities from drawings and specifications
*
Pricing from first principles where required
*
Reviewing contract documents and identifying commercial risk
*
Working closely with commercial, design, and delivery teams
*
Liaising with subcontractors and supply chain partners
*
Supporting bid strategy, value engineering, and cost planning
About You
You will come from a strong UK main contractor background, with experience working on medium to large-scale construction projects.
Essential requirements:

Proven experience as an Estimator for a main contractor
*
Experience working on projects up to £50m
*
Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability
*
Solid understanding of construction methodologies and procurement
*
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
