Job Description

We’re still hunting for that unicorn – a genuinely standalone Estimator who enjoys owning the role and operating with real autonomy.\n\nThis is a new assignment with a client I know well. The Managing Director is one of the good ones: he trusts his people, supports them, and gives them the freedom to do their job properly. No micromanagement.

No ego. Just a well-run business.\n\nThe company is a small, close-knit contractor (circa 10 people) delivering commercial and industrial fit-out projects between £500k and £3m. It’s a business where people communicate, collaborate, and pull together.

No corporate noise, no unnecessary bureaucracy, no politics.\n\nThe Role\n\n * Full responsibility for estimating fit-out projects\n\n * Working closely with the MD and delivery team\n\n * True autonomy and influence within the business\n\n * Opportunity to be a key figure, not just a number\n\nThe Person\n\n * Proven estimating experience within commercial / industrial fit-out\n\n * Comfortable operating as a standalone Estimator\n\n * Ideally based in or around Berkshire\n\n * Values trust, accountability, and a team-first culture\n\nThis role won’t suit everyone.
