Estimator - Social Housing Repairs\nLocation: South East London\nSalary: £50,000 - £60,000 \n\nWe are currently working with a well-established and growing contractor within the social housing sector who is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their team in South East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially aware professional to play a key role in delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services across a busy portfolio.\n\nThe Role\nAs an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and minor works within social housing. You will collaborate closely with operations, commercial, and client teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPreparing detailed cost estimates for repairs and maintenance works\nReviewing specifications, drawings, and schedules of rates\nLiaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing\nSupporting bid submissions and pricing frameworks\nMonitoring costs and identifying value engineering opportunities\nWorking closely with contract managers to ensure financial control across projectsRequirements\n\nProven experience as an Estimator within social housing, repairs, or maintenance\nStrong understanding of Schedule of Rates (SoR), particularly NHF\nCommercially astute with excellent numerical and analytical skills\nAbility to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously\nProficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsWhat's on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000\nPermanent, stable position with a reputable contractor\nOpportunity to work on long-term social housing frameworks\nCareer progression within a growing business\nSupportive and collaborative team environmentIf you are an experienced Estimator looking to take the next step in your career within the social housing sector, we would be keen to hear from you
