Overview
My client are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join their construction team. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately calculating the total costs associated with a construction project and providing estimates to our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse construction environment.
Responsibilities
Analyse project drawings and specifications to create accurate cost estimates
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary project information
Prepare and submit detailed proposals and bids to potential clients
Conduct thorough site visits to assess project scope and requirements
Utilize cost estimation software and tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Maintain records of project costs, quotes, and contractsDay-to-day
Reviewing project documentation and blueprints to understand scope and requirements
Collaborating with project managers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing
Attending project site visits and meetings with clients and team members
Providing detailed estimates and proposals within established timelines
Maintaining organized records of project costs, quotes, and contractsQualifications
Proven experience as an Estimator in construction, with a focus on refurbishment, office fit out, and residential refurbishment
Extensive knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards
Strong mathematical and analytical skills for precise cost calculations
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to liaise with clients and subcontractors
Proficiency with construction estimation software and Microsoft Office suite
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field is
