Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Benefits

Estimator - Job Overview

Analyse tender drawings, specifications, and client requirements

Carry out take-offs from drawings and, where required, site measurements

Assist in pricing works including labour, plant, and materials

Support the preparation and submission of competitive tenders

Identify risks and commercial opportunities within tender submissions

Review and flag onerous contract terms to senior team members

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors

Assist in preparing tender packages and negotiating supplier quotes

Maintain accurate cost databases and estimating records

Provide general support to the estimating and sales teams

Estimator - Job Requirements

Previous experience in an estimating or commercial support role (ideally within civils, surfacing, or construction)

Strong numerical and analytical skills

Ability to interpret drawings and specifications

Good understanding of construction materials, labour, and pricing principles

Excellent organisation and time management skills

Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders

Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
