Estimator (Roofing & Cladding)

£45,000 - £55,000

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Cladding & Roofing Estimator with a well established sub-contractor delivering high-quality, complex envelope solutions based in Central Lancashire with a sharp eye for detail and a proven track record in delivering high-quality, complex envelope solutions.

You'll be joining an existing Commercial function reporting into the Commercial Director reviewing and conduction tender documents, specifications, and architectural drawings related to roofing (e.g., single-ply, liquid, felt, metal) and cladding (e.g., composite panels, rainscreen systems).

This role is crucial to securing new projects where you'll be preparing accurate, competitive, and timely tender submissions. You will manage the entire estimating process from initial inquiry to final submission and negotiation.

If successful, you'll be employed directly by our client on a permanent contract.

What you'll be doing:

  • Review and interpret tender documents, specifications, and architectural drawings related to roofing (e.g., single-ply, liquid, felt, metal) and cladding (e.g., composite panels, rainscreen systems).
  • Conduct accurate take-offs and quantity surveying of materials and labor required for projects of varying sizes.
  • Source and negotiate prices with suppliers and specialist sub-contractors to ensure best value.
  • Prepare detailed, clear, and comprehensive cost estimates and breakdowns.
  • Work closely with the Operations and Commercial teams to ensure smooth project handover and budget alignment.
  • Participate in pre-tender and post-tender client meetings and presentations.

Hours: 8am - 5pm

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

What You'll Bring:

  • At least3 years of experience as an Estimatorspecifically focused on commercial and industrial roofing and cladding.
  • Technical knowledge of various roofing and facade systems, materials, and installation methods.
  • Knowledge with construction management software ie.Bluebeam, Causeway, Exceland
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
  • BSc or equivalent in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or Engineering is desirable.
