Building Estimator - York - Permanent \n\nAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join this very successful building and refurbishment contractor with a strong pipeline of work throughout the region.\n\nCandidates must have experience knowledge of all aspects of new build construction and refurbishment and exposure to working in a variety of sectors.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities:\n\nHandling multiple refurbishment and new build projects up to £3m, traditional and Design & Build tenders, utilising specialist estimating software packages.\nHaving the ability and experience to work independently to produce accurate and competitive tenders\nAppraising tender documents, preparing sub-contract and material enquiries\nProducing bills of quantities\nRisk and value management\nPreparation of budgets, estimates and cost plans\nInternal Tender adjudications and external client presentations.\nHave a good understanding of current CDM 2015 Health and Safety requirements, modern methods of construction and contractual awareness.\nValue Engineering throughout the design phase of D&B Contracts\nPreparation of analytical cost estimates including preliminaries\nAdjudication and comparison of Sub Contractor quotations.\nLiaison with sub contract and supply chain\nExperience of using estimating software such as Conquest or Eque2Calibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their , , , /beliefs, or .
