Estimator – Construction
Location: Swindon (Head Office)
Salary: £80,000 + Car Allowance & Benefits

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a highly respected regional contractor with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects across commercial, education, healthcare, and heritage sectors. Based at their Swindon head office, you will play a pivotal role in preparing accurate and competitive tenders, ensuring projects are priced effectively and align with client requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong commercial awareness and a passion for delivering value-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for a variety of construction projects.
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine scope and requirements.
* Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing information.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company procedures.
* Work closely with the preconstruction and project teams to support successful delivery.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry.
* Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing.
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
* Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
