The firm is looking to hire a motivated Equity Research Analyst to cover the Global Energy sector including both conventional and sustainable energy companies.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct detailed fundamental analysis of energy companies
Build and maintain detailed financial models to support investment thesis and valuation frameworks
Generate high-conviction investment ideas for in relevant portfolios
Perform macro-level research on global energy markets including regulatory, technological, and ESG developments
Present well-articulated investment recommendations at weekly investment committee meetings
Monitor and update research on existing portfolio holdings
Regularly engage with company management and attend conferences to gather insights
Contribute to ESG engagement efforts
Candidate Profile:
2-5 years of equity research experience
Relevant work experience and knowledge of the energy sector is a plus
Willingness to embrace a long-term, fundamental investment approach
Good team player who thrives in a collegiate culture
Intellectual curiosity, humility and a commitment to continuous learning
Analytical mindset
Currently working towards (or willingness to pursue) the CFA qualification
Undergraduate degree (minimum 2:1)
