Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £27,000 - £31,000 + shift allowance (30% / 20% / 50%)
Shift Patterns
12 hour shifts. Days: 7am-7pm Nights: 7pm-7am
Front End: Back End:
Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue Wed, Thu, Fri
Sun, Mon, Tue Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat
As an Equipment Shift Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting both equipment uptime and manufacturing performance. Working within a high-tech clean-room environment, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and improve semiconductor production tools, ensuring efficient equipment operation across assigned shifts.
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and sustain Preventive Maintenance (PMs) on semiconductor production equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and carry out first level fault recovery
  • Support equipment improvement projects, experiments, and tool health activities
  • Achieve required equipment performance metrics across each shift
  • Follow documented procedures for equipment checks, PMs, and OCAPs
  • Work closely with Equipment and Process Engineers to resolve online manufacturing issues

What You Will Need
Full training provided, but we are looking for candidates with:

  • BTEC/HNC in Engineering or working towards an equivalent qualification
  • Ability to interpret technical procedures and produce structured observation reports
  • Understanding of modern manufacturing concepts (JIT, KANBAN, Zero Defects, SPC, TQM, TPM)
  • Strong organisational, prioritisation, and problem solving skills
  • Awareness of clean-room protocols and expectations
  • Availability to work fixed 12 hour day and night shifts
