Job Description

Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking engineering consultancy, is seeking a Principal or Senior E&P Design Engineer to join its growing design team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take ownership of complex, multi-disciplinary projects while mentoring and developing junior team members. \nYou will work across a diverse portfolio of projects, primarily within rail and building services, with opportunities to contribute to energy-related schemes.

The role offers a flexible hybrid working model.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead and deliver Low Voltage (LV) electrical and Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) design solutions across rail, building services, and energy projects\nWork collaboratively within multi-disciplinary design teams\nManage, mentor, and support members of the design team, aiding their technical and professional development\nProduce and review detailed engineering designs using industry-standard tools\nEnsure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices, including CDM requirements where applicable\nContribute to project planning, coordination, and technical assurance\nCommunicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nExperience in Low Voltage / M&E design\nProven experience working on multi-disciplinary projects\nStrong working knowledge of engineering design tools\nIEng or CEng accredited with a relevant Engineering Institution, or actively working towards chartership\nExperience working within a BIM environment\nStrong understanding of UK design standards and regulations\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nConfident user of Microsoft Office applications\nDemonstrated commitment to continuous professional development (CPD)\n\nDesirable Experience:\n\nDetailed knowledge of CDM Regulations\nExperience delivering projects within rail or building services\n\nBenefits:\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\nHybrid working arrangement for improved work-life balance\nExposure to technically challenging and varied projects\nClear opportunities for career progression and professional development\nSupportive team culture with a strong focus on training and mentorship\nIf you are a motivated Senior or Principal E&P Design Engineer looking for your next career move, we would love to hear from you.
