Job Description

Environmental / Ecological Clerk of Works (Contract or Fixed-Term) Location: Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Glasgow Salary: Competitive (DOE) A leading global environmental consultancy is looking to appoint an Environmental or Ecological Clerk of Works (EnvCoW/ECoW) to support a growing pipeline of major infrastructure and renewable energy projects across Scotland. This is a hands-on, site-focused role suited to someone who enjoys being out in the field, working across diverse locations, and playing a key role in ensuring environmental compliance on complex projects. The Role You'll provide on-site environmental oversight across a range of high-profile developments, ensuring works are delivered in line with environmental commitments, legislation, and best practice. Acting as a trusted advisor to contractors and project teams, you'll help identify risks early and keep projects running smoothly and responsibly. What We're Looking For

\n Degree (or equivalent) in an environmental discipline such as ecology, environmental science, or environmental management \n

Demonstrable experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects, ideally within renewables \n

Strong knowledge of Scottish and UK environmental legislation, permitting, and consenting processes \n

Confidence in delivering site-based monitoring, audits, and practical environmental advice \n

Comfortable working across multiple sites, including travel to remote and rural locations \n
