Position: Environmental Specialist

Rate: £400 Per Day (Indicative Inside IR35)

Location: Birmingham

End Date: Mid September 2025

Start Date: ASAP

Working Arrangements: Remote

People Group is looking to recruit an Environmental Specialist from a Network Rail background to work for a leading Rail Consultancy.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and advice to project delivery teams, supporting development and delivery projects on-site.
• Identify environmental risks and develop systems to manage them effectively.
• Support Network Rail (NR) HS2 Technical assurance projects to ensure compliance with HS2 environmental minimum requirements (EMRs).
• Ensure adherence to Network Rail environmental standards and meet required GRIP stage deliverables.

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree in an environmental discipline and professional membership of an environmental institution such as IEMA.
• Experience working on Rail Delivery projects.
• Contractor or client-side experience within the rail sector.
