Contract Manager - Environmental Services\n\nSalary: £44,981 - £55,190 per annum\n Contract: Permanent\n Hours: 39 hours per week\n Location: Agile working (office-based minimum one day per week, with further attendance as business needs require)\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Contract Manager - Environmental Services to join our Property Directorate within Facilities Management & Environmental Services. This is a key leadership role, responsible for delivering high-quality, compliant, and value-for-money environmental services across our neighbourhoods and communal properties.\n\nThe successful candidate will lead and develop operational teams, manage budgets and contracts, and ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.\n\nThe Role\n\nLead and manage the Environmental Services team, including Supervisors and a Resource Scheduler\n\nEnsure delivery of environmental services across all properties and group offices, meeting agreed targets and compliance standards\n\nManage operational budgets, cash flow, and provide monthly financial forecasts and performance updates\n\nDrive value for money through effective contract and performance management\n\nEnsure full compliance with health & safety legislation, quality management systems, and internal policies\n\nWork closely with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to manage neighbourhood standards and risk remediation\n\nLead service improvement initiatives, using customer feedback and performance data\n\nSupport the mobilisation and ongoing management of operational contracts\n\nAbout You\n\nEssential:\n\nHND/HNC/NVQ Level 4 in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience\n\nIOSH or NEBOSH Managing Safety qualification\n\nProven experience managing facilities management or environmental service contracts\n\nStrong experience managing budgets, cash flow, and operational performance\n\nExperience leading and developing operational teams\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\n\nStrong understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements\n\nFlexible approach to working hours and own transport\n\nDesirable:\n\nExperience working within a social housing environment\n\nMembership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IWFM, CIH, CIOB)\n\nExperience coaching and developing teams\n\nSalary & Benefits\n\nSalary band: £44,981 - £55,190\n (The full salary band will be advertised.
