Assisting in the delivery of an effective service for our Environmental Health team by undertaking investigation work measuring noise levels and assessing any potential noise impact; responding to statutory planning consultations in relation to air quality and contaminated land issues; investigation of public health complaints, including statutory nuisance investigation and assessment; assisting in the development of policies and strategies. Environmental Health Officer REHIS Diploma in Environmental Health or equivalent Degree in Environmental Health or equivalent Able to demonstrate significant experience in pollution control and public health and a wider range of environmental health work Significant experience of investigation of noise complaints and assessing planning applications for environmental health legislation Knowledge of current environmental protection, pollution control and public health legislation and issues Awareness or familiarity with current and upcoming development pressures such as data centres is desirable.
