About the Role
Join our clientdelivering key services under Highways £3.6bn Scheme Delivery Framework (SDF). You'll support environmentally sustainable design and compliance across highway and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct environmental assessments and site inspections.
Guide project teams on environmental compliance and best practices.
Prepare and check reports, environmental statements, scoping/planning documents, and Section 61 consents.
Liaise with statutory bodies (EA, Natural England, Local Authorities).
Support planning applications, construction phases, and audits.
Assist in environmental risk identification, management, and mitigation.
Mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (structures, drainage, geotechnical, etc.).
Participate in bids and work-winning activities.
What Youll Bring
Relevant experience in environmental consultancy, ideally within highways or infrastructure.
In-depth knowledge of UK environmental legislation, permitting, and planning.
Familiarity with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Proficiency in environmental software/tools.
Degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
PIEMA
(Practitioner IEMA) or equivalent membership .
