Job Description
Environmental Consultant\n Location: Bristol, Cardiff, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Falmouth or Liverpool\n Salary: £35,000 to £60,000 plus\n Working Pattern: Flexible, hybrid working with partial home working and regular client site visits\n \nA recruitment partnership is supporting a dynamic environmental consultancy team seeking an Environmental Consultant to join a growing business. This permanent role offers the opportunity to contribute to environmental support within a defence consultancy environment, playing a crucial part in developing services across key customer accounts.\n \nKey Responsibilities:\n\nUndertake Environmental Impact Assessments and provide technical support\nWrite technical reports and meeting minutes with accuracy and clarity\nManage and deliver technical projects, including multiple concurrent assignments\nSupport business development activities and successfully deliver bids\nMaintain and develop client relationships to secure enduring workstreams\nProvide leadership and support to junior staff where requiredCandidate Requirements:\n\nApproximately two or more years’ experience in a consultancy environment\nExperience working within UK defence, ideally maritime, though other areas will be considered\nKnowledge of Defence Standard (Def Stan) 00051, Joint Service Publication (JSP) 816, JSP 418, ISO 14001\nProven experience undertaking Environmental Impact Screening and Scoping (EISS) using ASEMS POEMS\nUnderstanding of Hazardous Materials and Restricted Substances assessment\nTrack record in staff management and business development\nDegree qualified with ISEP Practitioner status, Full or Fellow Membership \nStrong organisational skills and ability to work independently, including from home\nExcellent communication skills with a professional approachGraduates meeting relevant criteria will also be considered.\n Due to the nature of work at the client’s site, this vacancy requires UK security clearance.
