Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Consultant
Industry: Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability Consultancy
Location: Home-based but with London & South East coverage, with occasional international travel
The Opportunity: We are supporting a leading international EHS & sustainability consultancy in expanding its UK Project Services capability.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse client base, from single-site organisations to complex, multi- environments, delivering high-impact health, safety and environmental solutions within commercially driven settings.
You will operate in a client-facing, advisory capacity, partnering with stakeholders from the operational level through to senior leadership.
The Role:
Deliver end-to-end EHS consultancy projects across multiple sectors
Provide pragmatic, commercially aligned solutions to improve client EHS performance
Engage with senior stakeholders, influencing strategy and operational delivery
Support both long-term programmes (12+ months) and short-term advisory engagements
Contribute to internal best practices, tools, and service delivery improvements
Support business development through proposals, presentations, and client engagement
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver consultancy assignments to a high professional standard
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
Conduct audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews across multi-site environments
Support the implementation of EHS management systems and frameworks
Translate regulatory requirements into practical, actionable solutions
Collaborate within project teams to ensure efficient delivery
Requirements:
4+ years’ experience within EHS, ideally in a consultancy or professional services environment
Strong stakeholder management skills, including exposure to senior/executive audiences
Proven experience improving EHS performance within organisations
Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing capability
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Full UK driving licence
Experience & Qualifications:
Graduate IOSH / MIIRSM (or working towards Chartered status)
Practitioner-level IEMA (or equivalent)
Experience with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 implementation across multi-site environments
EHS auditing experience (Lead Auditor desirable)
Experience delivering:
Risk assessments
Compliance audits
Fire risk assessments
Exposure to commercially driven, target-based environments
