Entry level SEND Teaching Assistant

We're partnering with a welcoming and inclusive specialist school in Rochdale, who are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their close-knit team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting pupils and making a real, positive impact every day.

About the Role:

• Deliver 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with EHCPs and additional learning needs
• Work alongside the class teacher to support lessons, manage behaviour, and implement personalised strategies
• Encourage emotional regulation, independence, and consistent daily routines
• Support progress monitoring and maintain clear communication with the wider multidisciplinary team

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND in an education or care environment
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude
• A solid understanding of Autism and wider SEND needs
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification

To be eligible you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
