Initially, this role will focus on delivering data‑related changes within Enterprise Tooling implementations.You will contribute to enterprise‑wide architectural frameworks covering data cataloguing, data security, data privacy, and data lifecycle management. You will also design and deliver optimal architectures for unstructured data (records) management, including the capture, storage, protection, and disposal of data.The role requires close collaboration with business and technology leaders, fellow architects, and data engineering teams to identify and deliver solutions aligned with the Group’s Data Policy, Standards, and Principles.To be successful, you will bring extensive experience applying best‑practice data architecture and analysis techniques within complex, global Financial Services organisations, along with strong expertise across the end‑to‑end architecture lifecycle and exceptional stakeholder management skills.## **WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:*** Working closely with relevant technology and business teams to understand their needs, recommend business priorities and advising the business on options, risks, and costs vs benefits for data solution options* Maintaining data architecture framework, standards, principles and roadmap. Covering modelling, metadata, master and reference data consistently across multiple execution venues* Defining the roadmap to transform data architecture focusing on integrity, scalability, performance and flexibility throughout the entire data life cycle (ingestion, storage and consumption)* Leading architectural designs solution context diagram and conceptual data model to optimise information leverage and reuse, integration, performance, and availability and ensure solutions developed, adhere and aligns to the delivered architecture* You'll be responsible for defining pragmatic guidelines in data migration, data integration, data extraction and data destruction* Research and recommend new emerging technologies, techniques and tools that will add new value to the organisation, including driving Proof of Concepts* Build and maintain appropriate Enterprise Architecture artefacts including; Entity Relationship Models, Data Dictionary, Taxonomy to aid data traceability* Work closely with Enterprise and Data Architects to ensure alignment with Group's Data Policies, Standards, Principles, and the Enterprise Data Model* Defining data flows, i.e., which parts of the organisation generate data, which require data to function, how data flows are handled, and how data changes in transition* Lead in designing, specifying, and selecting data solutions, considering business requirements, functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure, and performance* Share successful data architecture framework, processes, and best practices across technology## **WHAT YOU'LL BRING:*** A solid understanding of Data Architecture framework, standards, principles and data integration patterns including software development, analysis and data modelling, databases and data integration* Technologies for database, ETL, Business Intelligence, data governance* Demonstrated ability with any of the given tools Collibra, Solidatus, data.world, or any other data catalog tools in the industry* Minimum 5 years’ experience working with cloud technologies AWS, AZURE* Very strong in SQL, PL/SQL or T-SQL alongside experience in data modelling using tools such as Erwin, Power Designer, SQLDBM or Sparx EA alongside demonstrable reporting tools Power BI, Business Objects, Tableau or OBI* Minimum 10 years experience in using databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake or any other OLATP and OLAP databases* Understanding of Master Data Management technology landscape, processes and design principles.
