Enterprise Architect | Defence Client | 3 Month Initial Contract | Up to £800 per day (Outside IR35) | Andover (1-2 days per week on-site) | SC Clearance Required

This is a rare chance to rapidly deploy your expertise in Enterprise Architecture, delivering critical governance and strategic roadmaps for a complex, multi-domain defence environment. This contract requires a hands-on, strategic thinker who can quickly grasp a complex ecosystem and its inter-dependencies. You will be the assurance voice, ensuring that all technology and data decisions align with the long-term enterprise strategy for one of the UK's most critical security operations. This is not just about documentation; it's about leading change and mitigating risk.

They require candidates to hold an active SC Clearance.

Main Responsibilities:

Directly contribute to and help create the Enterprise Architecture vision, strategy, and roadmaps-defining the 'as-is,' 'to-be,' and transitional states for critical customer environments.

Lead the assurance process across all architectural domains, portfolios, and programmes, ensuring strict adherence to both corporate and industry standards (e.g., TOGAF).

Collaborate and consult directly with senior stakeholders to ensure all major business, technology, and data decisions are fully aligned with the overarching Enterprise Architecture strategy.

Champion and apply best-practice principles for solution and data security (OWASP, NCSC, GDPR) at every stage of the delivery lifecycle.

Required Skills:

Active SC Security Clearance is a strict necessity, coupled with extensive, hands-on experience in a strong Defence/Security background.

Expert-level command of Sparx Enterprise Architect (Sparx EA) for modelling, including administrative knowledge of Prolaborate and Pro Cloud Server.

Deep practical experience applying formal Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.

A proven track record of successfully guiding client organisations on technology, data reuse, sustainability, and scalability to reduce long-term risk and achieve value.
