Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate and dedicated full time English Teacher to join our client, a dynamic 11-16 secondary school in Southwark, covering Key Stage 3 & 4. This is a maternity cover, starting February and paid on the London MPS.
As an English Teacher, you will:
Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4. Plan and teach creative, differentiated lessons that inspire pupils. Monitor and assess pupil progress to secure sustained achievement. Contribute positively to the English department and wider school community. Maintain excellent behaviour for learning in the classroom.
We are looking for someone who:
Is passionate about English and committed to raising achievement. Has excellent classroom management and organisational skills. Builds positive relationships with pupils and colleagues. Is adaptable, proactive, and enthusiastic. Has strong communication skills and a reflective approach to teaching.
Candidates should have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A good honours degree in English, Education, or a related subject. Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 & 4 (desirable but not essential for the right candidate).
