We are seeking a seasoned, strategic-minded professional to join us as Second in Charge (2iC) - English, working in close partnership with the Head of Department. This is a leadership opportunity for someone with proven teaching excellence, strong leadership potential, and a commitment to raising standards and nurturing talent across the department.

We're Looking For An Experienced Leader Who Can Demonstrate

Consistently excellent classroom teaching and deep subject expertise in English.

Leadership qualities: ability to guide, support and develop a team; coach colleagues; and foster collaborative practice.

A proven track record of raising pupil achievement, including at GCSE/A-level (or equivalent).

Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

A reflective, growth-oriented mindset - ready to lead, learn and drive continuous improvement.

Confidence to influence curriculum design, pedagogical strategies, and department-wide initiatives.
